It seems like there's a new social media video challenge every week now! Recently we've had the Kiki Challenge, the Baby Shark Challenge, the Snoot Challenge, and the What the Fluff Challenge, but now there's a new one that's gone viral. Say "hello" to the Invisible Challenge!

This all started with the new Netflix show Magic for Humans. A guy by the name of Justin Willman tried to convince a total stranger that he could make him invisible, and the results were hilarious:

Why did he do it? He said:

“When I was a kid I put a tooth under my pillow, went to sleep, and in the morning there was money there. That tangible evidence was more than enough proof to make me believe in the tooth fairy. To find out how far I could take that premise, I set up a large flash-mob style social experiment all to convince one guy he had turned invisible.”

Now, convincing an adult man that he was invisible took a lot of effort, but convincing a child? People on the internet found out that was WAY easier. Hundreds of videos have surfaced of parents and siblings trying to make kids think that they are totally invisible, and lots of them are falling for it.

Reading the comments on these videos, people seem to be pretty split. There are a ton of people who think it's absolutely hilarious, but others who feel it's "traumatizing" for the children.

When I was a kid, my step-dad absolutely LOVED scaring my brother and me. He had various Halloween masks that he would put on at random times, and then he would hide and pop out at us. He got me EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. FOR YEARS. He said that it would "toughen us up." The night before I went to summer camp for the very first time, he sat me down and forced me to watch Friday the 13th. I sobbed uncontrollably for HOURS, begging my parents not to make me go. Guess what? I went and I had an amazing time. Personally, I don't think pranking your siblings or kids every once and a while is traumatizing, since I turned out pretty normal, but then again, I'm not an expert in child psychology.

What do you think about these videos? Are they funny, or just plain mean? Let us know in the comments!
