The Netflix series 'Making A Murderer' explored the possibility that Wisconsin native Steven Avery was framed for the murder of Teresa Halbach. I watched the entire show, just like many of you did, and came away unsure of Avery's guilt or innocence. But one thing I was sure of was police official's desire to get Avery one way or another. New evidence now backs that theory.

A new report by Uproxx examines the death certificate of Teresa Halbach. The document was obtained through the Freedom of Information act. After careful examination, the certificate features several disturbing items. On the certificate, 'No' is checked under body found. However 'Yes' is checked under autopsy performed. The cause of death is listed as 'undetermined', but that is crossed out and then written in as 'homicide'. The certificate itself is dated November 10th, 2005. But the coroner had received only bone fragments on November 9th. The certificate also says that on December 5th, the fragments were identified as Teresa Halbach's. That is six weeks before they were bones were positively identified on January 19th.

In order to charge Steven Avery with Halbach's death, there must be proof of death. Avery was charged with murder on November 9th. The evidence on the certificate seems to show law enforcement rushed to charge Avery with the crime.

Meanwhile, Avery's legal team is preparing a 26 city speaking tour as the popularity of the show continues to surge. A second season of 'Making A Murderer' is also being looked at.
