Facebook will sometimes unveil new features that seem cool, but ultimately come off as creepy and invasive. There latest gimmick is actually pretty cool. Its called "On This Day". It will show you photos and posts from the same day, in previous years. How do you access it? Its simple. Just go to facebook.com/onthisday. They're rolling it out slowly, so it might not be available to you just yet. I checked this morning and I'm not hooked up yet.

Facebook took some heat for a previous feature called "Year in Review", because in many cases it would dredge up painful memories of exes, or people who had passed away. They've taken steps this time to ensure that doesn't happen. Facebook created a special algorithm that will block out things you might deem to be too painful.

What do you think about "On This Day"?
