We hope Miranda Lambert wore comfortable shoes to the 2015 ACMs, because she spent most of Sunday evening (April 19) walking down the catwalk to accept awards, including Female Vocalist of the Year for the sixth year running.

The coveted award was presented by Darius Rucker, Jake Owen and Master’s champion Jordan Speith, and its category included similarly powerful vocalists Carrie Underwood, Brandy Clark, Martina McBride and Kacey Musgraves as Lambert’s competition.

Lambert accepted the award with humility and enthusiasm.

“I don’t even realize waht’s happening tonight,” she remarked with a smile. “I love my job so much. I will never not love this job."

Lambert went on to thank the fans for all they do to keep her and others like her on stages around the country and on the radio waves.

“Thank you so much to all of these amazing fans who make it possible for all of us to do what we love. We love you back!” she exclaimed to the audience.

In 2003, Lambert rose to fame via the reality show Nashville Star, on which she finished third place, and shot to stardom with her first album Kerosene in 2005. She has since earned two Grammy awards and had several No. 1 hits from her five consecutive No. 1 albums.
