Just a few weeks ago, it was announced Jimi Westbrook of Little Big Town would be undergoing surgery on his vocal cords. Now, another country star is facing issues.

Late last week, Miranda Lambert was forced to cancel her performance at the Calgary Stampede and posted this to her website:

I can’t believe this is happening. I am sure most of you heard the news about the show in Calgary having to be rescheduled due to my vocal issues. Thanks for all your posts and well wishes, I promise I will do everything to get better quickly! -Miranda
“I am so sorry that I can’t be at Stampede this week, but I’ll be back in Calgary just as soon as I can for all of my Stampede fans."

The post went on to say that Miranda couldn't perform because her doctor had diagnosed her with serious inflammation of her vocal cords.

Miranda's social media accounts have fallen silent since the announcement. Her next scheduled concert is this Friday at the North Dakota State Fair. Hopefully, she'll be ready to perform by then, but if not there's no arguing a few missed shows is much better than the alternative... a career lost. You can bet Miranda and her doctors will play it safe.
