Meet The Carpet Cleaning Expert: Chris Grimm
“I grew up with a mom fanatical about having a clean house. So much so she decided to do it for a living. I remember going with her to homes she cleaned, lugging around her vacuum, mop, bucket, rags, and cleaners. That was my first experience with hard work and job satisfaction. One of the most important things she taught me was to even clean areas nobody would see because it was the right thing to do. To this day I have never met another person so insistent on a clean house (don’t tell my wife I said that). I guess that rubbed off on me.
In college I worked for a family owned and operated (seems like we all are) carpet cleaning business. I loved the work. I loved seeing a problem (dirty carpet) and solving it (clean carpet). It sounds silly but I never felt so satisfied at a job. There was something about the smile on a person’s face when you exceed his or her expectations. It was also rewarding for me to get a spot out that had been plaguing a family for years. More importantly I liked the company I worked for and the customers I cleaned for. The owners believed in doing an outstanding job at a reasonable price. An idea I would incorporate in my own business.
Several years later I would meet and marry the love of my life. I shared with her the dream I had of owning my own business and in 2006 we made that dream a reality. We were convinced that if we are honest, hardworking, and simply show up on time then the rest would take care of itself. Our philosophy is simple, exceed customer’s expectations and do it at a reasonable price.
Oh, by the way, the average life span of a carpet cleaning company is 3 years. We must be doing something right.”
