It didn't quite live up to the hype as 'The Fight of the Century'. Now the fight may end up costing Manny Pacquiao more than just a mark in the loss column. Pacquiao was named in a $5 million class-action lawsuit in Las Vegas Tuesday. Why? They claim that Pacquiao and his team failed to report his shoulder injury to the Nevada Athletic Association prior to Saturday night's fight, as required by law. The lawsuit was filed on behalf of everyone who purchased tickets to the fight, bought it on pay per view or wagered money on it.

Frivolous lawsuit? I think it has serious merit! The injury is serious enough that Pacquiao is going to have surgery. The rotator cuff procedure will have him sidelined for 6 months. If we knew that he was that hurt going into the fight, would millions have spent $100 to buy it on pay per view? Would millions have put money on Pacquiao to win? Not that the boxing industry has high moral values, but we'd like to think that the boxers we're watching are at least both healthy. Either way, there is one thing that Vegas, boxing and people everywhere will say can solve all this. A rematch. See you at the MGM in 2016.
