While Iowa's weather was warm and dry over Labor Day weekend, parts of the west coast got slammed by the white stuff.

Montana experienced snow over the holiday weekend and not just light snow. Showdown, Montana, three hours north of Yellowstone National Park, had up to 10 inches of snow and add in high winds, it made travel unsafe and closed many roads.

Enjoy our final few weeks of summer here in Iowa. Last year's first major snowfall in Iowa happened on November 20th which is less than 11 weeks away.
