Clear skies this week and a crescent moon could mean peak viewing for the Lyrid Meteor Shower. The annual shower happens April 16th through the 25th but will peak a few hours before dawn on Wednesday April 22nd and Thursday the 23rd. With no full moon, and relatively clear skies conditions could be great for viewing. At it's peak, you can expect to see between 10 and 20 meteors per hour. No telescope required! Sunrise on the 22nd and 23rd will be around 6:14am. Or if its too cloudy, you can watch a live stream of the shower HERE.
