Luke Bryan took over the stage at the 2015 CMT Awards to perform his latest single, "Kick the Dust Up."

The song is the first single from his upcoming new studio album, and it's right in the vein of what he does best: throwing a big party out in a cornfield, with trucks, girls and plenty of alcohol to keep the good times rolling. That's exactly what Bryan did with his performance, stalking the stage clad in black with his trademark ball cap and delivering the song with gusto and the kind of energy that can rock an arena.

Bryan is currently on the road with his Kick the Dust Up tour, and he's slated to release his next album, Kill the Lights, on Aug. 7. Producer Jeff Stevens returned in his role as Bryan's producer, and "Kick the Dust Up" draws on some familiar writers as well, with Dallas Davidson, Chris DeStefano and Ashley Gorley collaborating again for a song that extends the sound they established on "That's My Kind of Night," fusing contemporary country and hip-hop.
