We wrapped up our 18th annual Radiothon for the Children's Miracle Network on Friday.  This weekend we learned we lost someone who also held radiothon close to their heart.  Barb Lee volunteered at every radiothon I worked at, except the last two.  Like many of the children at the hospital, she too was stricken with cancer.  And we were saddened to learn of Barb's passing this weekend.

Barb is one of the kindest, caring people I have ever had the privelage of knowing.  She took vacation from work every year to volunteer to work the KHAK Radiothon.  It was her passion.  I can still see her standing next to the speakers, listening to every interview, every montage we played, tears streaming down her face.  She loved helping kids.

But my favorite Barb Lee story came during a radiothon when all the phones were ringing with pledges, and she lept off the stage to answer one.  We dubbed it "The Barb Lee Maneuver", and it was mentioned during every radiothon after.

We love you and miss you Barb Lee.
