Little Big Town Cancels Shows as One Member Prepares for Vocal Surgery

Little Big Town has announced they're canceling or rescheduling shows in the coming weeks as a member of the quartet prepares to have vocal cord surgery.

The band posted to their Facebook page earlier this afternoon that Jimi Westbrook will have a polyp removed from his vocal cord next week. According to the post, doctors have ordered complete voice rest and a total recuperation before the group should continue touring. As a result, they won't be doing any shows through the end of July. One Iowa show is effected... in Council Bluffs on July 10th. The group promises updates on his progress during the recovery.

Our best to Jimi and his wife, group member Karen Fairchild. They're both likely to have some challenges in the weeks ahead as Jimi speaks via pen and paper. Plenty of other artists have had this surgery in the past and have come through it with flying colors. We're sure Jimi will do the same.
