Marcus Paige is a special player. I've seen it first-hand. The Hawks have a lot to fear Wednesday night when the ACC/Big Ten Challenge takes them to Chapel Hill, North Carolina.

I had the pleasure of calling a few games that Marcus Paige played in during his high school career, including one where he torched the nets for nearly 50 points, almost 80 percent of them after halftime. It was something to behold. Yes, if our Hawks hold Marcus down for 20-minutes, they shouldn't rest easy. You see, those great halves didn't end with his high school career:

Marcus leads the 5-1 Tar Heels at 15.2 points per game this season and is also the team's leading three-point shooter. Hawkeye guards Anthony Clemmons, Mike Gesell, Peter Jok, Josh Oglesby, Trey Dickerson, and Brady Ellingson will have their hands full and they all may be called upon.

It'll be a pleasure to watch Marcus take on our 5-2 Hawks and just to be clear, I will be cheering for Iowa. He can have many great games this season, and I know he will. I just hope one of them isn't Wednesday night. The 6:32 (Iowa time) tip-off is televised by ESPN with John Saunders and Dick Vitale calling the game. Go Hawks!
