Sugarland guitarist, singer and songwriter Kristian Bush has signed a new deal with BBR Music Group that encompasses recording, song publishing and producing.

The Grammy-winning artist is already in the studio working on the follow-up to his critically acclaimed debut solo album, Southern Gravity, which will be released via BBR's Wheelhouse Records imprint. The BMI Award-winning songwriter will also continue his writing endeavors under the auspices of a new deal with their publishing arm, Magic Mustang Music.

"As both a recording artist and a songwriter, I am honored to be a part of the BBR Music Group/Magic Mustang family," Bush says in a press release. "I'm in love with making music, and I’m humbled every day that I get to do this job. My train runs on believers, and I found some incredible supporters in this building. There’s no telling what can happen when like-minded people get together, so to be surrounded by this team and given this opportunity makes me feel like a rocket sitting on a launchpad. I can’t wait to take off."

Bush was part of a duo called Billy Pilgrim in the '90s before rocketing to fame with Jennifer Nettles in Sugarland. He released Southern Gravity in 2015 via Streamsound Records. Nettles recently announced a new deal with Big Machine Label Group, where she plans to release her own sophomore solo project in 2016. In addition to his upcoming album and songwriting, Bush will also be working as a producer under the terms of his new deal.

“The world knows that Kristian Bush is an amazing songwriter but what many folks may not yet know is that he’s also a multi-talented producer," says Benny Brown, President & CEO of BBR Music Group. "When we heard his demos we decided to sign him to a full-fledged publishing, production and artist deal. It just made sense. We’re so excited to welcome Kristian, his talent and his incredible spirit to both the Magic Mustang and BBR Music Group family."
