KHAK’s ‘Teacher of the Week’ — October 6th

Every week we honor another awesome teacher in the local area with our ‘Teacher of the Week’ award!

Congratulations to Tony Shade, a teacher at Iowa Valley Elementary in Marengo! He is this week’s ‘Teacher of the Week!' He was nominated by Courtney Stubblefield, and here’s what she had to say:

“Mr. Shade is an amazing teacher and an amazing person. He knows each one of our 9 children by name, along with all the kids at school. He is ALWAYS smiling, even after battling cancer twice and continuing to teach school. He fills his classroom with fun animals and activities.”

For being an amazing teacher, Tony will be receiving gift cards from Wild Hogs in Walford and Kathy’s Pies!
