Every week we honor another awesome teacher in the local area with our ‘Teacher of the Week’ award!

Congratulations to Adam Berte, a teacher at Williamsburg Jr/Sr High School in Williamsburg! Adam is this week’s ‘Teacher of the Week!” He was nominated by Kandi Gensley, and here’s what she had to say:

"Adam Berte is a math teacher and softball coach at Williamsburg High School who always puts his students first. He is full of positive, contagious energy, and is committed to his students/athletes. He goes the extra mile for them daily. I have had the privilege of him teaching my children, both currently and several years ago! He has been a positive role model for all of them! His ambition/helpfulness is contagious and I can see this in my daughter. He arrives early every day to assist any student that may need help in understanding assignments. He is someone who cares about his students and wants each one to succeed, whether it is academically, or as an athlete. Adam is there for them!"

For winning, Adam will be receiving gift cards from Wild Hogs in Walford, Peck’s Flower Shop, Half Price Books, and Kathy’s Pies.

Adam is the final winner of "Teacher of the Week" for the 2016-2017 school year! The contest will return in the month of September for the 2017-2018 school year. Thank you so, so much for all of your nominations!
