KHAK’s ‘Teacher of the Week’ — February 17th

Every week we honor another awesome teacher in the local area with our ‘Teacher of the Week’ award!

Congratulations to Jenny Murtha, a teacher at Xavier High School in Cedar Rapids! She is this week’s ‘Teacher of the Week!” She was nominated by Katelyn Gibbs, and here’s what she had to say:

"Miss Murtha has a passion for teaching English. She is a young person that understands us kids. She coaches Xavier Girls volleyball. She takes time to talk to anyone. She is willing to stay late or go to school early to help anyone, and when you are having a rough day, you can go talk to her and she will have you laughing and smiling in no time. Miss Murtha is always willing to help and is a smiling face!"

Jenny will be receiving gift cards from Wild Hogs in Walford, Peck’s Flower Shop, Half Price Books, and Kathy’s Pies.
