KHAK’s Bobby Hansen Had a Big 2018 [PHOTOS]

2018 was a great year for me! It started with me looking forward to another year and spending time with my "then" girlfriend Lisa and the adventures we enjoy together. Little did either one of us know that we would close out 2018 as a married couple. What a blessing it has been!

January started off freezing cold and we both talked about taking a vacation to the South to get away. We were able to escape the cold of Iowa for warm Phoenix, Arizona in March and that's when it all started happening. On our trip together, I knew she was the one. We were engaged on April 1... yes April Fools' Day! I figured she would have 24 hours to back out of it and say "April Fools" but luckily, she didn't.

Our next thing to do was to find a wedding date. I tend to have a busy schedule in the summer DJ'ing other wedding dances for people all around Iowa. We had three open weekends to choose from. July 7, Aug 18, or Sept 1. July 7 was too close to the 4th of July and family & friends traveling on vacations. Sept 1 was Labor Day weekend and also a busy time for family & friends traveling on vacations, plus the start of Iowa football. So Aug 18 was our date... and it looks cool too: 8-18-18.

We had a busy summer getting the house ready for the ceremony and then getting things lined up for the reception. It all worked out great. Below are some of our favorite moments from our big day, courtesy of Sweet Escape Photography.
