Jake Owen's daughter Pearl turned two last weekend. The singer said he planned to host a small party for her before tucking it in for the Thanksgiving holiday. He also shared that it's been a nervous, but very satisfying two years for him and his wife.

Owen and wife Lacey were barely married when Olive Pearl Owen was born on Thanksgiving 2012. The dark-haired cutie is now talking, laughing and even singing along to dad's music.

“Every day when I look at her and people tell me how smart she is and how well-behaved she is, it makes me feel good," Owen says, beaming like any proud papa would. "It makes me feel like I guess I do know what I’m doing."

Early on, he wasn't so confident. The then-31-year-old wasn't sure he had what it took to be a good father.

"I remember two years ago ... me thinking, 'How am I going to do this? I don't know how to be a dad. I don't even know how to be a grownup.'"

That hasn't proven true. "With my wife and I as a team, we're pretty good at it," he confirms.

This Thanksgiving, the 'What We Ain't Got' singer will celebrate with his wife and daughter. It won't be a big family holiday this year, which seems to be just fine for the Owens.
