The University of Iowa men's basketball team has had an outstanding year. They've gone above and beyond what the experts predicted back in November. Iowa was picked to finish in the bottom half of the Big Ten and was considered a bubble team for the NCAA Tournament. Up until the last three weeks, Iowa was considered a #1 seed by various basketball experts. Since then, Iowa has gone 1-2 in their last three games and 4-4 in their last eight.

What does Iowa need to do to get into the talk of being a #1 seed again? Return to playing with a chip on their shoulders, out hustle the team they're playing against, and just take it one game at a time. Iowa needs to win out the regular season, plain and simple. It's a goal that's very obtainable. Win out the regular season and they're the Big Ten Champs. Then it's the Big Ten Tournament where Iowa would be the #1 seed. If Iowa wins the Big Ten Tournament along with winning out the regular season, the NCAA Selection Committee would have to award Iowa a #1 seed.

It all starts tonight against Wisconsin. Tipoff is at 8 pm on the Big Ten Network.
