Hawkeye OL Brandon Scherff came back to Iowa for his senior year to get better. That hard work will pay off tonight at the NFL Draft in Chicago. Scherff is projected by most, to be drafted somewhere within the first 12 picks of this year's draft. Many experts have him pegged at number nine to the New York Giants. Scherff played tackle at Iowa, but some have him pegged as a guard in the NFL. Scherff doesn't care. His dream of playing in the NFL is about to come true. Scherff will become the 14th Iowa offensive lineman to be drafted since Kirk Ferentz took over the Iowa program in 1999.

Other Hawkeyes with draft day dreams include DT Carl Davis. Davis has been projected as a late first round pick in some mock drafts. Offensive tackle Andrew Donnal, defensive tackle Louis Trinca-Pasat, linebacker Quinton Alston and running back Mark Weisman are all possible late round selections.
