Iowa Outback Bowl Ticket Sales Looking Up

Even though this will be Iowa's 5th appearance at the Outback Bowl in Tampa since 2004, tickets sales have been brisk. Iowa has sold almost 7,000 of the 8,500 tickets the university has for the January 2 game against Florida.

Matt Henderson, senior associate athletics director for external relations for the University of Iowa says, told the Waterloo Courier, “We’re pleased with where we are at right now and the bowl officials tell us that ticket sales are going well on their end, as well. We know we have a lot of alumni and fans who are in Florida at this time of year and are purchasing through the bowl, but we do continue to have good seats available to sell."

Officials are still working out the details for a January 1 Hawkeye Huddle event in Tampa.
