The fact that you've known all along is now becoming common knowledge!

Last week, the Washington Post revealed the results of a study proving that the great Midwest is an excellent place to bring up kids. Using words like the "absolute best" is enough to make a stoic Midwesterner tear up a bit. Well, maybe. But just a little bit.

According to the Annie E. Casey Foundation's annual survey, Iowa now ranks #3 in the U.S.A. for the best states to raise kids. And this year's top three finish was an improvement, up six notches from 2015's ninth place ranking.

Our neighbor to north, Minnesota was ranked as the #1 state to raise kids (for the second year in a row, no less). And if you've ever heard of the phrase "Minnesota nice" I'm sure you'll agree with me that they'll probably take it all in stride, and not let it go to their heads...too much!

Besides, it's quite likely they've learned a few things from their neighbors here in the cornfield state!
