Joel Lynch, a graduate student from Iowa State, knew just how he wanted to propose marriage to his girlfriend, Cara Szymanski. He knew she loved "Beauty and the Beast," and wanted to make a yellow ball gown to match the one Belle wore in the movie.

Lynch decided to sew the gown himself. One problem, he'd never sewed before. Turns out, it wasn't a problem at all, but it would take him a long time. According to WHO, Lynch started working on the gown in October. Some days, he'd toil on it as much as 14 hours.

After he got the dress done, he positioned it on a mannequin in the library on the Iowa State campus in Ames.

Next, it was time to get the real-life girl. Joel took her into the library and the tears started to flow from Cara's eyes. She put on the gown, then as Joel's sister cued "Beauty and the Beast," Joel hit a knee and popped the question. I think you know what she said. After all, who could possibly say no to someone who cares, loves, and prepares that much? Congrats Joel and Cara and Joel... wow, just wow.
