He raced for over 400 yards during a playoff game Friday night and his career mark? Let's just say it's unbelievable.

Trent Johnson of Dike-New Hartford scored seven touchdowns during his team's 55-29, first round playoff victory over Southeast Valley. Johnson ended the night with 427 yards on 26 carries. His per-carry average was 16.42. This season he's run for 2,440 yards, in ten games. That's only an average of 244 per outing. What's even more ridiculous is his career rushing total.

Johnson has run for an incredible 7,171 during his high school career. That's more than four miles. The old record was 7,142 yards. It had been the mark since Levi Ferguson ended his high school career at North Mahaska in 2005.

Afterward, Johnson told the Waterloo Courier, “I actually think other people wanted me to get it more than I did, but it’s an honor to get it for Dike-New Hartford and the community. I just wanted the win.”

It appears Trent's a pretty solid fisherman, as well. Congrats, Trent, and best of luck in round two.
