There are certain Thanksgiving dishes out there that nearly every family has on the menu, like turkey, mashed potatoes, and stuffing. But, there are many families out there who have their own not-so-traditional dishes they serve for the holidays!

The New York Times did a study using Google to figure out the strangest Thanksgiving recipes for different US states.

The first one on the list is actually popular here in Iowa, and also in South Dakota and Nebraska, and it's called Snicker apple salad. Apparently it's a type of dessert made up of Snickers, apples, and whipped cream. I've never had it, but Brain actually has!

The rest of the list includes: Frog eye salad (no ACTUAL frog eyes), stuffed artichokes, pumpkin whoopee pie, and sopapilla cheesecake.

The Michigan answer was cheesy potatoes, which my family is actually serving at our Thanksgiving back in Detroit!
