If you or someone you know loves snow and is qualified to battle it behind the wheel,  the IDOT wants you! The state has announced they're hiring 600 highway maintenance workers for the upcoming winter.

Perhaps the Iowa Department of Transportation has heard that the almanacs are predicting lots of snow for the upcoming winter. Then again, with all the rain we've been having lately, would anyone doubt a bunch of snow is heading our way this winter? Regrettably, I don't.

The below could be your office this winter and the DOT is hiring for eastern Iowa locations including Anamosa, Burlington, Cedar Rapids, Coralville, Davenport, Dyersville, Independence, Marion, Mount Pleasant, Oskaloosa, Ottumwa, Sigourney, Tipton, Washington, Waterloo, Waverly, and Williamsburg. More than 100 different garages around the state of Iowa are in need of help. You can apply under the seasonal/temp tab on the Iowa Department of Transportation, HERE.

Good luck, but I hope you're not real busy. I REALLY do.
