What’s developed into a traditional doubleheader for two IMCA special series plays out again tonight at Cedar County Raceway in Tipton.

Both the IMCA Deery Brothers Summer Series Late Models and the Hawkeye Dirt Tour for Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modifieds are racing at Tipton. The Deery feature pays $3,000 to win and a minimum of $300 to start while the Dirt Tour feature pays $1,000 to win and a minimum of $150.

The two series have shared a Cedar County date each of the last three seasons.

Deery winners over that span have been Kevin Kile, Brian Harris and defending champion and current point leader Justin Kay. Milo Veloz Jr., Darin Duffy and Jesse Sobbing own the HDT victories.

Pit gates open at 4:30 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 5 p.m. Hot laps are at 6:45 p.m., with racing to follow.

Grandstand admission is $17 for adults, $15 for seniors 62 and over, $10 for students and free for kids ages six and under. Pit passes are $30.
