Ignore The Critics and Just Keep Winning

Another win, another round of drama. Yes it's no secret that despite their 11-0 record, the Iowa Hawkeye football team still isn't getting the respect it probably deserves. The Hawks jumped up to #3 in the AP poll behind only Clemson and Alabama. The College Football Playoff poll comes out tomorrow. Will the Hawks be in the top four? To quote Lee Corso, "not so fast my friends."

Does Iowa deserve to be in the top four? In my mind, yes. Previously unbeaten Ohio State lost so they're out. #4 Notre Dame looked awful in beating a bad Boston College team. Iowa's 40-20 win over Purdue won't impress the pundits, but the Hawks keep doing what they need to keep doing. Winning. However, at least one college football 'expert', Kirk Herbstreit from ESPN has the Hawkeyes FALLING in the playoff poll!

But this is all just speculation. Something I doubt Kirk Ferentz and the rest of the Hawkeyes are into these days. All they have to do is keep winning.
