Hy-Vee Recalling Black Beans Due To Possible Contamination

Hy-Vee is voluntarily recalling some of their no salt added black beans across eight states due to the potential of metal and plastic in the product. The beans were sold at Hy-Vee stores in Iowa, Illinois, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, South Dakota, and Wisconsin between April 22nd and July 18th of this year.

The recall affects 15-ounce cans of Hy-Vee brand no salt added black beans with the code "Best by 04 APR 2019 258F2 095 16 XXXX" and a UPC number of "0075450105190".

The supplier of the beans discovered the problem. Hy-Vee says that no injuries have been reported.
