As Hurricane Joaquin moves toward the East Coast, a bunch of weekend sporting events could be postponed. The Big Ten football schedule has already been affected.

Already, this weekend's Big Ten schedule has been affected. Saturday night's Big Ten game between Michigan and Maryland has been moved to an 11 am kickoff, Iowa time. The game had been scheduled for Saturday night. Though not because of weather, Nebraska and Illinois will move from 2:30 pm, Iowa time, to a 3:02 kickoff. Due to the change, the Big Ten Network now has two conference games on their network kicking off at 11 am Iowa time. Both Michigan-Maryland and Minnesota-Northwestern. Check local listings to determine which channel they will be on with your cable or satellite provider. Saturday's Iowa-Wisconsin game will still begin at 11:01 Saturday morning, and will be televised nationally by ESPN.

Games that could be affected in the NFL are Philadelphia at Washington. MLB has the Nationals at Phillies. NCAA football would have a bunch of games affected, including the big Saturday Night matchup of Notre Dame at Clemson.

NASCAR is at Dover, Delaware this weekend. The Monster Mile does not have lights and the forecast is calling for rain thru Tuesday.
