How the CMA's are nominated and voted on.

Country Music Association (CMA's) has a membership of over 7,400 music industry professionals from more than 40 countries around the world that chooses the nominees and winners. Anyone who earns their income primarily from the country music industry, whether they are an artist, a songwriter, a music journalist or an engineer, can purchase an individual CMA membership and vote.

Winners are chosen by their peers: fellow industry professionals who are also members of the CMA. CMA employees do not participate in the voting process.
