How Much Should You Pay Your Babysitter?

If you have kids, then you know the stress of finding a babysitter. You want someone responsible, but fun for your kids to be around. And how much should you PAY the sitter? When my wife and I have someone watch our kids, we usually pay around $10 an hour. We may have to up the salary!

A new survey by the website Care.com, revealed that the average pay for a babysitter is up to an average of $13.50 an hour. Thats up from just over $10 five years ago, and WAY higher than the minimum wage! The survey also found that most parents don't hire the sitter based on wage, but instead based on what their kids like.
