Over the holidays is never a good time for it to happen. That was exactly the case at the NewBo Shops at 208 art store in the NewBo district of Cedar Rapids, who were robbed earlier this week.

They came back the day after Christmas to find someone had broken through a back wall and robbed them.

Several break-ins in NewBo have been occurring this year, so business owners in the neighborhood are on their guard.

CBS2 learned a total of about $40 in cash and  $1,400 worth of materials had been stolen and NewBo Shops at 208 co-owner Jennifer Morris said even more revenue was lost by not being able to open for at least a day. They don't know how soon they will be able to re-open.

If you have any information you are encouraged to call the Cedar Rapids Police Department at 319-286-5491.
