Tim McGraw and star songwriter Lori McKenna joined forces to pen the powerful song "Gravity" for the film Free SoloReaders can press play above to hear the soaring anthem.

Free Solo follows climber Alex Honnald on his mission to climb the 3,200-foot El Capitan rock formation in California's Yosemite National Park alone, and without ropes. The powerful lyrics of "Gravity," crafted by McGraw and McKenna to capture Honnald's drive and passion, tell the story of a persistent fighter as he tackles the obstacles and doubts that threaten his mission.

"Look what you have overcome to get here / Look at the distance you've run / The doubt that you push down / Fear you have drawn out / When they said that it couldn't be done / In your head / In your heart / and In your hands," sings McGraw. "Gravity is a fragile thing / All of the work that you left in your roads / All of the dreams and that all / Now you can finally see them / They meet you at your destination / Now that you have made it so far."

Free Solo was directed by Chai Vasarhelyi and photographer and mountaineer Jimmy Chin. It debuted in theaters on Sept. 28.

“There are few people who pursue their passion with the fearlessness of Alex Honnold. It’s both terrifying and exhilarating to be on that journey with him when you watch Free Solo,” McGraw tells the Boston Globe. “Lori McKenna and I wanted the lyrics of "Gravity" to be a reminder that fear is a battle fought on a variety of planes, from mental to spiritual to physical. We tend to think ‘fearlessness’ is synonymous with big bold gestures, but there’s also a fragility inherent in risk — and we wanted that to come through.”
