A forward on the Iowa men's basketball team has suffered two major knee injuries, costing him much of his collegiate career to this point. Today, Iowa announced the NCAA has given him another year of eligibility, meaning he'll have two more seasons with the Hawks.

Dale Jones, a 6-foot-7 forward who weighs 227 pounds, tore the ACL in his right knee December 1 of last year, the second time he'd sustained the same injury in the last three years. He had done it previously while playing at Tyler Junior College in Texas.

Iowa men's basketball coach Fran McCaffery made the announcement of the NCAA's ruling today. Jones' will be entering his junior season of eligibility this fall. He's a native of Waterloo.
