With Mother's Day coming up on Sunday, I have to take the time to honor the other 'Mom' in my life. That is my wife Holly. Being a parent is NOT an easy job. That is something we both have learned in the past 12 years. But the rewards are endless and worth it by a mile. But without Holly, none of it would be possible. She is the strongest woman I know.

How strong? How about no pain meds during the delivery of our first child. I remember flying to the hospital when Holly's water broke. We both thought it won't be long now! We were wrong. The waiting began. Eventually, doctors gave her medicine to speed up the labor process and man did it work. Too well in fact. Holly went from barely dilated to it's go time! So fast that there was no time to give her an epidural or any pain medication. You want tough? That's tough. I've never seen anything like it.

You want another form of strength? How about not giving up. After Chase was born we knew we wanted to have more kids. But we hit a few bumps in the road. We knew we weren't the only couple to go through it, but it was still tough. Some couples who go through that kind of pain don't ever try again. I'm so glad we made it through as we were blessed with 2 daughters, Carly and Cayleigh!

What could I possibly give to the woman who has literally given me everything. First, she gave me her love and companionship. Then, she gave me the greatest gift of all. A family. Happy Mother's Day Holly. Thank you for everything you do to make our family what it is. We love you!
