When I was growing up, I wore out Kenny Rogers records on our stereo at home.  I know I wasn't the only one. The Gambler, Lady, Coward of the County, and so many others were played over and over from his greatest hits collections.  Kenny was the man.

Over the years, I've had the honor to see him perform several times and always marvel at the repoire he has with the audience.  It's a marvel to watch him interact.  The audience is always in the palm of his hand. Today, Kenny is celebrating his 76th birthday and I can't help but wonder how many more years he'll be out touring and treating us to decades of great music.  I hope it's many more.

In the midst of the Little League World Series and a lover of baseball, I thought I'd share one of my more recent favorites from Kenny.  Happy Birthday Kenny!
