The theme for this year's Iowa men's basketball season has been Rising.  And for most of the year, that's just what the Hawks have done.  Impressive wins.  A spot among the nationally ranked.  But as we head towards March, something is wrong.  For the first time this year, the Hawks are dealing with a losing streak.

Iowa's loss at Minnesota last night, coupled with a tough home loss to Wisconsin marks the first time this year Iowa has lost 2 straight.  Certainly an impressive feat, but this isn't the time of year to start losing streaks.  Good teams hit their stride when March arrives.  They prime themselves for a tournament run.  Can Iowa do that?

Don't get me wrong, the Big Ten is tough night in and night out, no matter who you play.  Plus, no Melsahn Basabe that past 2 games hurt too.  Will the Hawks Rise to the occasion and make it a March to remember?  The test begins Thursday night at Indiana, the first of 3 games in 6 days.
