It's very rare that I want to see a movie immediately after its release.  I knew 'Lone Survivor' was one of those and the below tweet, clinched it.

‏@Wildaboutmusic:  "I encourage all Americans -- and anyone else who doesn't hate Americans -- to see #LoneSurvivor. Powerful stuff."

I must admit I didn't totally understand the tweet.  Now that I've seen the movie, I do.

I readily admit to being a very emotional person.  After watching this film, based on actual events that happened in Afghanistan in 2005, I had trouble controlling them.

I needed to see this movie.  I think we all do (please note:  it's Rated R).  Sometimes it's too easy for us to go about our daily lives and forget the freedoms we enjoy come with a gigantic price.  This movie reminds us just how true that is, but it's more than a movie.  It was/is real and like every American life lost protecting freedoms at home and around the world, the price is unimaginable.

Put Mark Wahlberg down for next year's Best Actor and the movie down for Best Picture now.  I believe they'll win easily.

If you've already seen it, I'd love for you to share your thoughts below.
