It this age of television and video games, its hard to keep kids active.  But with childhood obesity rates continuing to rise, the need is more important now than ever.  The key?  Keep exercising fun!  Make it seem like a game, and kids will leap at the chance to go outside and run around!  Here are a few family friendly ways to keep your kids active and fit!

Super Hero In Training:  Set up some rows of cones, or hula hoops on the ground to create an obstacle course!  Tell them that this is how their favorite super hero trains, to keep in tip top shape!  Wanna be the next Superman or Wonder Woman?  Complete the course in record time!

Playground Olympics:  What are the Playground Olympics?  Have your kids go through ALL the playground equipment (swings, slides, monkey bars) and whoever comes in first wins the gold!

Jump On A Trampoline:  Who doesn't love to jump on a trampoline?  They're fun, and did you know that using one for just 10 minutes can equal the health benefits of a half hour run!  Get that safety net up and jump away!

The bottom line is, if you make exercising fun, your kids will want to get active and stay fit!
