The rains came, heavy, in many areas last night.  That was unexpected.  Tonight was the night heavy rain was forecast.  Unfortunately, that hasn't changed.  We already have the saturated soil and tonight comes, according to the National Weather Service, the likelihood of widespread rains of two to four inches (with locally higher amounts).  That will put the nerves of many in the corridor on edge.  Here are some flood safety tips, just in case.

There is a piece of good news...the flood watch is only for 12 hours.  It goes from seven this evening until seven tomorrow morning.  Here's hoping Mother Nature is kind to us.
