We can now confirm a plan that's been in the works for nearly a year, is going to happen! National recording artist, and three-time Grammy nominee, Pat Green will be appearing at the Iowa game on September 15 (a 6:30 p.m. kickoff on Big Ten Network).
On September 15, the "Kinnick Wave" will again be accompanied by a clip of Pat Green's song. According to the University of Iowa, at halftime, Pat will then perform the song live from the stands near the south end zone. He'll be joined by 50 members of both the University of Iowa Hawkeye Marching Band AND the University of Northern Iowa Panther Marching Band. The remaining members of both bands will be on the field creating images the kids will be able to see from inside the Children's Hospital.
Following the game, Green will perform at the First Avenue Club in Iowa City. Pat is calling the show a celebration of all things Iowa. It's also a fundraiser for the U of I Children's Hospital.
