Devin Dawson Makes His ‘Ellen’ Debut Performing ‘All on Me’ [Watch]
Dawson hit the stage on the Ellen show clad all in black, giving a confident performance backed by his ace band as they turned out a radio-ready rendition of the song, which scored Dawson a hit when it was released as the first single from his debut album, Dark Horse, in April of 2017. DeGeneres even presented the newcomer with his very first RIAA gold-certified plaque, and needless to say, he was surprised.
Dawson has fast become one of the breakout country stars of the last year since the single was released. "All on Me" currently sits at No. 5 on the Billboard Country Airplay chart, where it looks like it might be headed for No. 1, and Dawson made his network TV debut in style in an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in late February. But that was just a prelude to what was to come on March 1, when he woke up to the news that he was nominated for New Male Vocalist of the Year in the 2018 ACM Awards.

Dawson was scrolling through the nominations when he saw his own name, he tells Taste of Country Nights.
"It was one of those caught-me-off-guard, almost speechless moments ... I was scrolling down, and I was like, 'Wait. Does that say Devin Dawson?'" he relates.
Dawson will face stiff competition from Luke Combs, Russell Dickerson, Brett Young and Kane Brown when the ACM Awards take place Apr. 15. He will join Brett Eldredge on the Long Way Tour as an opening act when it launches in April.
