Last Sunday evening United Airlines grounded all domestic flights due to computer issues, this week Delta Air Line is facing the same problems. Problems with the computer automation issues are to blame for the delays according to an advisory from the Federal Aviation Administration.

Delta Air Lines issued this statement.

"Delta teams are expeditiously working to fix a systems outage that has resulted in departure delays for flights on the ground," the airline said in the statement. "Flights in the air remain unaffected. Delta apologizes to customers for the inconvenience."

Please check with the Eastern Iowa Airport to see if your flight is affected.
