Us single people are always assumed to be sad or lonely, but that's just not true! Luckily, Dairy Queen totally understands.

I want to start by saying that I have no hate for couples or Valentine's Day. If you're in a happy relationship, then I'm happy for you! Really, I'm only a tiny bit bitter (haha). But seriously, I've never really been into celebrating Valentine's Day, even when I was in a relationship. People always think that I'm not a fan of the holiday because I'm single, but that's just not true! I'm just not really a romantic. I hate Nicholas Sparks movies and hand holding, and cheesy Facebook dedications make me roll my eyes. But, like I said, if that's your thing, then you do you, boo boo!

Getting to my point here, Dairy Queen is coming out and standing up for us this holiday by celebrating singleness! Every business in the world celebrates Valentine's Day the traditional way, so it's kind of cool that DQ is mixing things up a bit. Most people assume they're doing it out of pity, but they're all WRONG. Dairy Queen says, "single Americans now outnumber those who are married, so we felt the time was right to honor our single fans." They also say that 50% of singles classify themselves as "proud singles" (or as I say, successful singles), but only 24% of them plan on buying themselves a gift. That's where DQ comes in. They're offering a "Singles Blizzard," consisting of salted caramel truffles, Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, and peanut butter topping. Ice cream makes an excellent plus one, and it will never break your heart.

TREAT YOURSELF. (And FYI, it's NOT free)
