This past weekend I watched another movie off my New Year's Resolution movie list! I've been watching a lot of funny and light-hearted movies lately, so I decided to watch something more serious last week - Good Will Hunting (1997).

First of all, I cried. A LOT. Why?

  1. Because it was SO SAD.
  2. Because I kept thinking about how much I love Robin Williams and then I remembered that he's no longer alive.

That being said, I absolutely LOVED the movie. Matt Damon and Ben Affleck were such babies! And I have to mention that Matt's haircut was really disturbing to me. The 90s were a rough time for hairstyles.

The acting was FANTASTIC. The plot was FANTASTIC. Everything was just perfect. I love how complex the characters are, and I love seeing Robin Williams in such a serious role. I'm so used to seeing him in comedies. The scene where Will told Skylar he didn't love her had me bawling, and the scene where Robin Williams kept telling will, "It's not your fault," almost KILLED me. I couldn't see through my tears. My favorite quote from the movie was from Sean:

" People call these things imperfections, but they're not — aw that's the good stuff. And then we get to choose who we let into our weird little worlds. You're not perfect, sport. And let me save you the suspense. This girl you met, she isn't perfect either. But the question is: whether or not you're perfect for each other. That's the whole deal. That's what intimacy is all about."

Next week I pick a new movie! Any suggestions? Leave them below!
