Courtlin’s Resolution Movie List: Week 1

If you didn't hear about it last week, I made a New Year's Resolution to watch one movie a week for the full 52 weeks of 2015. I even made a list! Brain thinks that I won't follow through, so I've vowed to blog about each movie every week to ensure that I'm keeping my promise. Last week was a pretty short week, since the new year started Thursday, so I picked my first movie based off of what was available on Netflix. American Beauty (1999)

I put this movie on my list by recommendation, because a lot of people know of my deep love for Kevin Spacey. Overall, I loved the movie. It's very twisted and creepy, but with some dark humor. Going into the movie, you know exactly what's going to happen, because they flat out TELL you, but that didn't stop me from wishing that, somehow, that would change. It's artsy and very well done, and I was not bored for a single second of the movie (which is tough for me to say because I have a very short attention span).

If you haven't seen it, my vote is YES, watch this movie.
