I did it. I watched The Bachelor premiere last night. It also happened to be the first time I've EVER watched The Bachelor! Why start now? Well, because he's from Iowa, of course!

First off, I would like to say that MAN, HE IS ATTRACTIVE. I like his face. A LOT. And I don't know much about him, but he seems to be a pretty nice guy.

So here are a few of my thoughts about last night's episode, as a first time Bachelor-watcher:

SPOILER ALERTS!

  • I was REALLY uncomfortable watching the girls meet him for the first time. All of the ridiculous, over-the-top introductions made me LITERALLY cringe. Putting a penny in his shoe? Singing him a song with a pink karaoke machine? Coming out TWICE in 2 different outfits? Making him close his eyes so you could be his "secret admirer?" COME ON. I was so embarrassed just sitting on my couch, I can't even IMAGINE how it felt to be on the actual show!
  • I LOVE LOVE LOVE Britt. I'm so glad she won the first impression rose. She is stunning and down to earth, and pretty much the only girl I DON'T want to slap in the face right now.
  • I HATE how catty and mean all of these girls are. When a girl was coming up to meet Chris, all they would do was tear her apart. But, ALL OF A SUDDEN, when she came inside, they were all hugs and smiles and rainbows. I don't like fake girls to begin with, but throwing in competition over a man? I can already tell it's going to be a disaster.
  • I was incredibly irritated that Onion Girl and Drunk Hillbilly made it through (I don't know their real names), but of course, it's a reality show, and they need to keep the people who bring the most drama. I will say that I was happy that he eliminated Ballerina Princess. Other than that, nobody really stood out to me (aside from Britt).
