Well, my Monday and Tuesday nights are all booked for the next few weeks. Season 13 of The Voice kicked off this week and I'm already hooked.

Before we get into my favorite blind auditions, I want to talk judges. This season it's Adam, Blake, Miley Cyrus, and Jennifer Hudson, and JHud might be my favorite judge of all time. I absolutely LOVE her. For the first time since I began watching the show, I feel like there's a coach who actually COACHES. Instead of just telling contestants, "Oh, man! I should've turned my chair for you," she actually tells them WHY she didn't turn her chair. She's even started coaching people on the spot. If I were a contestant, I would absolutely choose Jennifer. Not that I don't love the rest of the coaches, but I feel like she's in it to win it!

The very first performance of the entire season was from a guy named Chris Weaver. I found out after the performance that Chris is actually originally from Des Moines, Iowa! He represented us well, singing "Try a Little Tenderness" and absolutely KILLING it. He had four chair-turns, and he deserved it.

As amazing as Chris was, he actually wasn't my favorite of the week (although he was close). My absolute favorite audition, maybe EVER, was from a 26-year-old gal named Brooke Simpson. She sang Demi Lovato's "Stone Cold," and I could not BELIEVE what I was hearing. She gave Demi a run for her money! I've watched this video about 15 times now, and I'm still not over how amazing it is.

Here are a few of my other favorite performances this week:
